Ana was in severe pain when she was evaluated and rushed to the hospital. By evening, the pain was more intense, nausea had set in, and she was terrified. We soon found out she was having an appendicitis attack and had to be transferred to another hospital! 

We thank God that a surgeon at a private hospital was able to conduct the emergency surgery. She has fully recovered!

With 93 kids, we know that it’s not if something like this will happen, but when. We budget and plan, but this has been an extremely difficult year regarding our medical expenses. Shortages of medications have driven the prices up. Add in inflation, and our medical expenses have shot through the roof!

In just the first six months of 2023, our medical expenses were $21,430 over budget. This puts us on track to be $42,860 over budget by the end of the year!
