Each Christmas season we have a party at our IBAAN school in order to acknowledge the birth of Christ and to signal the beginning of Christmas break. The children perform dances, have short dramas, sing, and learn a little bit more about the true story of Christmas. The children generally practice for weeks in order to prepare for their ‘time’ during the program. After the program is done we eat traditional Christmas season foods, drink Ponche (Mexican Punch), play games, have piñatas, and sit around talking about all sorts of things. It’s a great way to end the school year.
