You may have read in past updates about Lee and Ruthie Wiggins and their volunteer work with our children and staff in Mexico. They have now been with our ministry in Mexico for nearly six weeks. Lee and Ruthie have been working in the school and truly love what God has called them to do down here. Lee has been working with our children in forming a music program and teaching basic musical concepts, while Ruthie has been working with our little ones in kindergarten. They both enjoy spending time with the children, playing games, and they are finding their place as grandparent-types in the lives of our little ones, including our staff children.
Lee and Ruthie are also working with our house parents as an encouragement to them. They meet with each house at least once a week, and enjoy a meal with the whole family in each of our homes. The Wiggins are such a blessing to our ministry as volunteer staff. Pray for Lee and Ruthie, as the Lord places them in your hearts, as settling into a new culture, language, traditions and not to mention the team dynamic we have here at Niños can be at times no easy task.
