The song “God of this City”, originally written by Bluetree and reproduced by Chris Tomlin, is an amazing yet simple song. As you read the song (italicized) think about the need in Mexico and how your partnership with Niños de Mexico is helping.
- With estimates of 30 million residents, Mexico City is one of the largest cities of the world. And He’s the God of the city.
- 5000 people move to the city every day. And He’s the King of the people.
- Over 111 million people live in the country. And He’s the Lord of the nation.
- The minimum wage is approximately $6 US dollars… for a 10-hour day and more than 40% live in poverty. But He’s the hope to the hopeless.
- Over 50% of the population is under 20 years of age. In Mexico City alone, there are 1.9 million at-risk children… 500,000 live on the street. But He’s the peace to the restless.
- Over 1,000 neighborhoods have NO evangelical congregation. But He’s the light in the darkness.
There is no one like our God.
With God’s help, Niños is trying to make a difference. Greater things are yet to come. Greater things are still to be done. Thank you for partnering with us!
