Niños de México Reunion
On August 4th & 5th, we held our second Niños de México Reunion, an effort to reunite many of those who have been touched by this ministry. We had well over 100 people in attendance over the two days of the event. It was also a special blessing to have Jack and Vicki Yarnell here on Saturday of the event. It was incredible to see how many Niños alumni are involved in ministry throughout Mexico. Thank you for your prayers for our alumni. Ask the Lord to continue to bless their lives, families, and ministries.
Chilapa Update
The mission to Chilapa continues to expand. Dr. Noé Flores visits the village each month to share Jesus through medical missions. Jorge Martinez (the local minister) continues to work with the church in developing leadership. Church attendance is around 50 people every Sunday. Additionally, the local body is active in sharing the good news with others in nearby villages. The village of La Libertad is one such village. In May, seven people were baptized into Christ in this village. Now, the church there is averaging 25 people each week!
Thank you to so many of you for your prayers and financial gifts for this work. Please continue to pray that more native leadership would be raised up from among these people. Pray also for the purity and unity of these young churches.
